Facilitator Lead Calibration Quality Coach (Contract, Bilingual)

Overview

The Becoming Institute is seeking a Facilitator Lead / Calibration & Quality Coach to support our Psychological Health and Safety Certificate Program. You will protect delivery consistency across parallel cohorts by operating the facilitation standard—onboarding and calibration, session quality sampling, drift detection and correction, and structured coaching feedback—partnering with Program Operations and QA/Evidence to ensure facilitation quality supports completion verification and reporting requirements throughout the year.

No. of Vacancies

Skills Required
  • Expert virtual facilitation (VILT): able to model high-quality delivery, manage group dynamics, and maintain psychologically safe learning environments
  • Facilitator coaching & calibration: proven ability to onboard facilitators, run rehearsals, give corrective feedback, and build consistency across a facilitator bench
  • Quality assurance mindset: skilled in observation, QA checklists, drift detection, and standard enforcement without creating friction
  • Instructional discipline: ability to execute and reinforce structured interaction (case work, guided discussion, role practice) and keep cohorts on time
  • Role boundary clarity (non-clinical): able to reinforce leader-scope mental health support and escalation pathways without drifting into clinical practice
  • Communication & documentation: clear written and verbal communication for standards packs, coaching notes, and quality summaries
  • Problem-solving under pressure: triage issues quickly, support corrective action cycles, and maintain delivery stability across parallel cohorts
  • Collaboration: works smoothly with Ops, Reporting/Evaluation, Accessibility, and Bilingual leads to maintain consistent delivery quality
  • Tools fluency: comfortable with Teams/Zoom-style delivery tools, shared drives, and basic trackers (Excel/Sheets equivalents); familiarity with LMS environments is an asset
Roles & Responsibilities

Facilitation calibration and onboarding

  • Lead facilitator onboarding and calibration to program standards (delivery method, timing, interaction structure, leader role boundaries)
  • Run rehearsal sessions and scenario walk-throughs to ensure consistent facilitation quality across cohorts
  • Maintain facilitator standards pack (session guides, prompts, role-practice scripts, do/don’t boundaries)

Delivery quality assurance (QA) and consistency control

  • Conduct structured session observations (live or recorded, where permitted) using a standardized QA checklist
  • Detect and correct “delivery drift” (content omissions, inconsistent framing, pacing, boundary slippage, weak interaction discipline)
  • Validate that structured interaction is executed as designed (case work, guided discussion, role practice, applied tools)

Coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement

  • Provide timely coaching feedback to facilitators (strengths, gaps, corrective actions, follow-up observation)
  • Support facilitator development plans and targeted re-calibration when performance signals risk to learner experience or outcomes
  • Identify cross-cohort themes and recommend improvements to facilitation guides, scripts, and templates

Artifact and completion-pathway alignment

  • Reinforce consistent facilitation support for the completion pathway (participation expectations, artifact instructions, submission timing)
  • Coordinate with the marking/QA function to calibrate PASS/REVISION expectations and reduce variability in learner guidance
  • Ensure facilitator practices support auditable evidence capture (without creating unnecessary documentation burden)

Governance and reporting inputs

  • Contribute to weekly delivery governance with quality signals, risks, and corrective actions
  • Provide monthly quality summaries (observation volume, common issues, coaching actions, improvement releases)
  • Partner with Operations, Accessibility, and Bilingual leads to ensure quality standards are maintained across English/French delivery and accessibility practices
Additional Requirements
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Available to support mobilization (June–August 2026) and ongoing delivery following launch
  • Comfortable working remotely/virtually, with occasional in-person meetings in the GTA as required
  • Able to work occasional evenings/weekends during delivery peaks, rehearsals, or fixed deadlines
  • Reliable internet and a professional virtual facilitation setup (camera, audio, quiet space)
  • Willing to participate in and lead calibration sessions, rehearsal runs, and structured QA observations
  • Strong confidentiality and professionalism when handling program materials, recordings (where permitted), and participant information
  • References may be requested as part of the selection process
